The foundation, Avstamp för Juridiska Studier, awards scholarships of SEK 10,000 each year to at least one student who has commenced their Law studies at a Swedish university and who comes from a non-academic family background.

To be eligible to apply, you must have been accepted to a Law program at one of the universities in Sweden and be studying in your first, second or third semester. The scholarship is aimed at those who come from non-academic families which, in this context, means that neither parent has a Swedish university education.

The application

Your application should consist of a personal cover letter, accompanied by an acceptance letter or other certificate showing that you have been admitted to and are studying Law at a university in Sweden. Applications should be sent by email to Fredrik Svensson, founder of the scholarship and a partner at Mannheimer Swartling, via avstamp@msa.se.
