In 2023, the world once again faced numerous crises, not least Russia’s continued invasion of Ukraine and the Israel-Hamas war. These serve as a stark reminder of the fragility of global peace and highlight the importance of cooperation and diplomacy in an interconnected world.

We are often faced with a difficult balancing act between short-term needs and long-term sustainability goals – for example, ensuring energy security while advancing the green transition.
