Heidelberg Materials enters into a strategic cooperation with Svedin

Heidelberg Materials Betong Sverige AB (”Heidelberg”) has on 21 June 2023 entered into a shareholders’ agreement with Svedin Holding AB (”Svedin”) regarding their joint ownership of the newly formed Construction Logistics Sweden AB (”CLS”). Closing of the transaction took place on 25 September 2023.

CLS shall provide transport and logistic services to the Heidelberg group. Heidelberg owns 49% of CLS and Svedin owns 51% of CLS. Heidelberg and Svedin have, either by themselves or through their subsidiaries, transferred certain assets/employees to CLS and shall provide certain services to CLS. The strategic cooperation is an important part of the Heidelberg group’s de-carbonization roadmap project.

Heidelberg was advised by Mannheimer Swartling in the transaction.
