Leya – the latest addition to MSA Innovation Lab

Leya is a generative AI platform for the legal sector and the latest company to join our legal tech incubator. Leya also just got accepted to Y Combinator, the renowned accelerator for startups.

Leya’s platform is designed to efficientise and optimise repetitive and manual tasks in the legal sector. By streamlining and simplifying significant portions of the legal work, the platform  enables law firms and legal professionals to work more efficiently and focus on the more advanced legal and strategic matters.

The partnership between Mannheimer Swartling and Leya is another major step for the firm’s ongoing innovation efforts, with the purpose to improve the lawyers’ workflows and even further elevate the quality of our legal advice. Highlights from the collaboration include:

  • Streamlined workflows
  • Enhanced accuracy and quality
  • Improved customer experience

– Our ambition with Leya is that the platform will help with all the repetitive and manual tasks so that lawyers instead can focus on the advanced key issues. Of course without compromising with compliance or privacy, says Max Junestrand, CEO at Leya.

– The generative AI platform that Leya is developing is both thrilling and innovative, and the best we have seen so far, says Jan Dernestam, Managing Partner at Mannheimer Swartling. Leya’s approach is also completely in line with the firm’s goal to be the leading law firm when it comes to using AI in our legal advice. AI may be disruptive, but just as with all our digital development during the recent years we embrace the immense leap that AI represents, and we are very much looking forward to our new co-opearation with Leya. We are convinced that Leya together with our other incubator companies and collaborations will help us reach our, to say the least, ambitious goal, Jan Dernestam continues.

Mannheimer Swartling encourages entrepreneurship. In order to support entrepreneurs and innovators, and at the same time streamline and digitalise all of Mannheimer Swartling’s workflows, MSA Innovation Lab houses for instance a legal tech incubator. Within the incubator we share all of our knowledge and experience with new businesses that we consider to have the potential to transform the legal industry.
