RES and SCR partner with Axpo and Landskrona Energi to deliver battery storage projekt in Sweden
RES Renewable Norden AB (RES) and Scandinavian Capacity Reserve AB (SCR) sell a 20MW/20MWh battery storage project located in Landskrona, Sweden, developed by RES and SCR, to Axpo Group.
The project is due to be operational in 2024 and will provide ancillary services to Landskrona Energi to help balance the grid.
Axpo Group will build the lithium-ion based battery storage project, with RES providing construction management services ahead of the project becoming operational. RES will also provide asset management and O&M services as well as apply its proprietary RESolve system.
The project is adjacent to a facility of Landskrona Energi, who will be responsible for connecting the project to the grid. With significant growth of businesses and residences planned for the municipality of Landskrona, utilising battery storage projects can support the challenge of managing an increase in electricity supply and demand.
