Summa Equity closes a EUR 550 million Article 9 Continuation Fund

Mannheimer Swartling has acted as legal counsel for Summa Equity in connection with the establishment of Summa Circular, a so called continuation fund. The fund is globally one of the first of its kind, being an Article 9 fund in accordance with the SFDR, and will allow for continued successful management of the NG Group.

Summa Circular is an Article 9 fund in accordance with the SFDR, being invested in NG Group – a leading Nordic provider of circular solutions and environmental services. NG Group, which was originally acquired by Summa Equity Fund I in 2018, will be able to continue its successful partnership with Summa Equity through Summa Circular and thereby continue to strengthen its position in the market. The transaction closed at approximately EUR 550 million and capital was raised from an international investor base, represented by current investors in Summa Equity’s funds as well as new institutional investors.
