Jockum regularly assists clients with complex regulatory matters related to transnational data flows, regulatory agreements, research and development, large-scale processing of sensitive data, AI, cybersecurity, and compliance assessments. Jockum’s articles have been published in leading academic journals such as the European Data Protection Law Review, Internet Policy Review, The Information Society and The International Journal of Communication.
Before joining the firm, Jockum spent seven years in academic research. His doctoral dissertation focused on the legislative process of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), where Jockum demonstrated how this landmark regulation was shaped by both regulatory tradition and exceptional political circumstances. His research provides him with invaluable insights into the regulatory landscape and policy considerations underlying EU’s digital legislation.
