Bridgepoint and Bonnier divest Nordic Cinema Group to AMC Entertainment

Bridgepoint and Bonnier have agreed to divest Nordic Cinema Group (NCG) to AMC Entertainment at a value of some SEK 8.250 billion. The transaction is subject to regulatory approval and is expected to close during the spring of 2017.

NCG was formed in May 2013 through the merger between SF Bio Group and the Finnkino Group. NCG has an annual turnover exceeding SEK 3 billion and is owned by Bridgepoint (68%), Bonnier (30%) and management.

Mannheimer Swartling assisted Bridgepoint and Bonnier in the transaction, alongside White & Case (London). Dittmar & Indrenius, BA-HR, COBALT, Valiunas Ellex, Klavins Ellex and Gorrissen Federspiel acted as local counsel.
