Mannheimer Swartling’s Sustainability Report 2021
For Mannheimer Swartling, running a sustainable business means being responsive, adapting and helping to deliver change. In our three sustainability pillars, this means supporting our clients with innovation and long-term thinking; safeguarding modern and present leadership for our employees; and, in society, contributing where we have the greatest opportunity to influence. Another year of pandemic marked by global uncertainty has only reinforced this.
Throughout the year, we continued to develop our specialist competence in sustainability-related business law and to work on mandates with a significant positive impact. Our ability to do this, and to provide exceptional legal services generally is, of course, only possible thanks to our outstanding employees. It is therefore essential that we work with issues that secure our position as the most attractive workplace for Sweden’s lawyers in the long term. 2021 also saw us drive new initiatives for increased diversity and reduced climate impact – both within the firm and in society.
We also see the rule of law as essential to sustainability, which led us to the decision to close our operations in Moscow as a direct consequence of Russia’s appalling invasion of Ukraine. As previously communicated, we are supporting the UNHCR with donations to provide humanitarian aid and we will continue to find ways to help Ukraine however we can.
We often refer to Mannheimer Swartling as a close-knit team and we appreciate this now more than ever. What we continue to achieve together, amidst all the recent challenges, makes us even prouder of our corporate culture and gives us the strength to carry on working hard for our clients.
Welcome to read about our sustainability work during the past year.
