Mannheimer Swartling elects four new partners

Mannheimer Swartling is pleased to announce the election of Carl Björk, Madeleine Edqvist, Martin Hallström and Caroline Hansson as new partners at the firm.

Newly elected partners


Carl Björk is member of Mannheimer Swartling’s Mergers & Acquisitions practice group and is based in the firm’s office in Gothenburg. Carl’s practice includes advising on M&A transactions and on corporate legal matters in clients’ day-to-day operations. He works with clients in a wide range of sectors and industries.

Carl joined the firm in 2012. He is a member of the Swedish Bar Association and has an LL.M. from Stockholm University.


Madeleine Edqvist
is a member of Mannheimer Swartling’s Environment practice group and Energy industry sector group. She is based in the firm’s office in Malmö. Madeleine is specialised in environment and energy law, with particular focus on regulatory matters in the energy sector, energy related projects and environmental permit processes.

Madeleine worked at the firm 2008-2011 and after having served at another law firm she returned to Mannheimer Swartling in 2019. She is a member of the Swedish Bar Association and has an LL.M. from Lund University.


Martin Hallström
is a member of Mannheimer Swartling’s Corporate, Tech and Intellectual Property practice group and is based in the firm’s office in Gothenburg. Martin specialises in IP/IT and tech law, with a particular focus on licensing, strategic collaborations, outsourcing, development projects as well as carve-outs and separations.

Martin joined the firm in 2012. He is a member of the Swedish Bar Association and has an LL.M. from University of Gothenburg.


Caroline Hansson
is a member of Mannheimer Swartling’s Corporate, Tech and Intellectual Property practice group and works at the firm’s office in Malmö. She specialises in operational agreements as well as strategic collaborations and industrial alliances, with a particular focus on large-scale development agreements, industrial collaboration projects, purchase agreements, service agreements and sales and distribution agreements.

Caroline joined the firm in 2011. She is a member of the Swedish Bar Association and has an LL.M. from Lund University.
