The municipality of Härnösand enters into a social outcomes contract with Utfallsfonden
The agreement between the municipality of Härnösand and Utfallsfonden Projektfinansiering 1 AB (“Utfallsfonden”) aims to improve the living situation and strengthen the independence of older people, thereby reducing the need for home care services. The initiative is the first of its kind in Sweden of this size.
On 28 June 2024, the agreement was entered into whereby Utfallsfonden will invest SEK 35 million over 3.5 years, with the possibility of a further investment of SEK 15 million over 1.5 years in the event of visible progress and the need for further funding remains.
A so-called social outcomes contract means that the repayment of the investment is linked to jointly set outcome targets. In this case, for example, improving the quality of and reducing the need for home care services. If the investment is successful, the municipality will repay the investment to Utfallsfonden based on the actual cost savings achieved.
