Hitachi Energy has acquired a property in Västerås from Corem. The property is located within the expansive Finnslätten area. In relation to the acquisition, Hitachi Energy has also entered into a construction contract with Peab in order to expand and coordinate its operations in Västerås, including research and innovation, offices and a state-of-the-art factory for network automation products. The new workplace will cover approximately 40,000 square metres. The project will be carried out in a partnering structure in two separate phases (system design, production planning, budgeting and detailed design work, execution).

Hitachi Energy has been advised by Mannheimer Swartling in the transaction and the procurement of the construction contract.
