Handelsbanken has entered into an agreement to divest its Danish operations to Jyske Bank.

The agreement includes business relationships with private and corporate customers, 43 branches and approximately 600 employees. The transferred assets, which primarily comprise loans granted to private customers and companies, amount to approximately SEK 98 billion as of 31 March 2022.

Completion of the transaction is contingent on customary regulatory approvals and is expected to take place during 2022.

Handelsbanken was advised by Mannheimer Swartling in the transaction. Kromann Reumert assisted in relation to Danish law matters.
