Mannheimer Swartling has advised REMONDIS Group in its acquisition of Delete Group

Delete Group is a leading provider of environmental and cleaning services in the Nordic countries.

Delete Group employs approximately 675 professionals in 29 locations in Finland and Sweden. The transaction was signed in May 2023, but was subject to approvals by relevant competition authorities. The transaction is intended to close in November 2023.

REMONDIS notified the transaction to the Swedish Competition Authority (the “SCA”) on 7 June 2023. Following the initial Phase 1 review, the SCA decided to initiate an in-depth Phase 2 investigation of the transaction. On 11 October 2023, the SCA informed REMONDIS of its intention to prohibit the transaction and provided its Statement of Objections. Following REMONDIS’ response to the Statement of Objections, and an oral hearing with SCA officials, the SCA unconditionally approved the transaction on 1 November 2023.
