Karlsnäs Capital sells Trioplast

Karlsnäs Capital AB has on 29 June 2018 divested all of its shares in Trioplast Industrier AB, one of the leading European manufacturers of sustainable packaging solutions based on polyethylene film, to a wholly-owned subsidiary of Altor Fund IV.

Trioplast was founded in 1965 by Vilhelm Larsson in Smålandsstenar and has since 1984 been owned by Vilhelm’s son, Bo Larsson, who has developed the company into a leading player in Europe with 16 subsidiaries and a turnover of 4.2 billion SEK in 2017. Trioplast offers plastic film and packaging material for use in a variety of industries and businesses, such as bale ensiling, horticulture, hygiene film for diapers and medical applications, construction film, carrier bags and waste handling bags.
