The increased median salary affects the maintenance requirement for work permits

Statistics Sweden (SCB) has published a new median salary. The median salary forms the basis for the maintenance requirement for those applying for a work permit in Sweden. Statistics Sweden has announced that the median salary has now been raised to 35,600 kronor.

The requirement for adequate maintenance means that an employee must have a monthly salary amounting to at least 80 percent of the median salary applicable at the time of application.
