Mannheimer Swartling partners with Stadsmissionen

With a strong determination to make a change, Stadsmissionen, or The City Mission, has worked for many years to help and support the ones who need it the most. Mannheimer Swartling is proud to announce its new partnership with the Stockholm, Gothenburg and Skåne City Missions. With legal advice pro bono, volunteer work and donations, the firm will contribute to The City Missions’ important work for a more humane society.

– We believe in The City Missions and share their vision. The way we see it, our best means of contributing to society is by doing what we know best – give legal advice. On behalf of the firm, I look forward to working with The City Mission and seeing the difference we can make together, says Jan Dernestam, Managing Partner at Mannheimer Swartling.

The City Missions operate all over Sweden with initiatives such as assisted living for youths and adults, emergency housing, activity centres for adults, daily activities for youths, advice and support to refugees seeking asylum and to EU citizens, shelters for the homeless, work integration, homework support and nightly on call services. They also operate cafés and second hand stores. In addition, The Stockholm City Mission runs a high school, a vocational school and “The Food Mission” (Matmissionen) which is a social food store.

All City Missions share the same basic premise – to help those who need it the most. The City Missions in Gothenburg, Skåne and Stockholm are three of a total of ten City Missions in the national association The City Missions in Sweden (Riksföreningen Sveriges Stadsmissioner) that Mannheimer Swartling is now partnering with.
