Saab Kockums Aktiebolag acquires Deform AB, ensuring a continued close cooperation between the two companies. Deform, which was established in 1907, specialises in hot and cold forming of various types of metallic materials. The companies have a long and close relationship, with Deform acting as a supplier of speciality parts for Saab’s submarine production and being an important part of Saab Kockums’ supply chain.

Saab Kockums specialises in the design, building and maintenance of naval surface vessels and submarines, incorporating the most advanced stealth technology to meet the safety needs that arise from military threats, terrorism, accidents or natural disaster. Saab Kockums is a wholly owned subsidiary of Saab Aktiebolag, a leading defence and security company with operations all over the world. Saab designs, manufactures and maintains advanced systems in aeronautics, weapons, command and control, sensors and underwater systems and is part of the domestic defence capability of several nations.
