M&G acquires a majority stake in P Capital Partners

Mannheimer Swartling has acted as legal counsel for P Capital Partners in connection with M&G acquiring a majority stake in P Capital Partners.

The partnership will result in P Capital Partners becoming part of M&G’s private markets business and complement its established private credit team.

P Capital Partners is one of the leading managers in European direct lending and has invested in more than 170 companies. P Capital Partners specialises in providing bespoke financing solutions to mid-sized businesses who often encounter challenges in securing loans through traditional channels and may not wish to sell equity stakes to fuel growth.

The acquisition underpins the international asset manager M&G’s strategic growth plans and ambition to be a leader in European private assets, adding differentiated investment and origination expertise, whilst strengthening P Capital Partners’ capabilities for continued European expansion.
