Gyldendal A/S acquires 80 percent of the shares in Tukanen AB

The Danish publishing house Gyldendal A/S (Gyldendal) has entered into an agreement to acquire 80 percent of the shares in Tukanen AB (Tukanen). The transaction is expected to close in Q2 2026.

Tukanen is a Gothenburg-based publishing house with a focus on publishing children’s books, non-fiction as well as educational materials. Gyldendal is the oldest, and one of the largest, publishing houses in Denmark who publishes fiction, non-fiction and educational materials. Gyldendal is listed on NASDAQ OMX Copenhagen.

Gyldendal was advised by Mannheimer Swartling in connection with the transaction. The firm’s team consisted of Emma Olnäs Fors, Ellinor Nilsson, Josefine Wålinder, Elise Aronsson, My Karlsson, Robin Oké and William Nordstrand Larsson.
