Eurowind Energy acquires Swedish renewable energy platform from EnBW

Eurowind Energy has signed an agreement to acquire EnBW’s Swedish renewable energy platform, strengthening its operational presence in Sweden. The platform comprises approximately 120 MW of operating onshore wind assets, a significant development portfolio of renewable energy projects and an established operations and maintenance business.

The acquisition adds an established operational platform to Eurowind Energy’s operations in Sweden, combining renewable energy generation, project development and operations and maintenance under one organization. The operating assets contribute from day one, while the development portfolio supports Eurowind Energy’s continued development of renewable energy projects in Sweden.

Closing is subject to approval under Sweden’s foreign direct investment (FDI) screening regime and is expected during the third quarter of 2026.

Mannheimer Swartling advised Eurowind Energy in the transaction. The firm’s team consisted primarily of Per Åsbrink, Mikaela Wedbäck Pizevska, Madelén Gideonsson, Elsa Axelsson, Ludvig Forfang Righard and Emma Olnäs Fors (M&A), supported by colleagues from Environment, Real Estate, Corporate Commercial, Corporate Compliance and Risk, and Employment and Pensions.
