Summa Equity closes its second fund at its hard cap of SEK 6.5 billion

Mannheimer Swartling has advised Summa Equity in connection with the structure, fund raising and establishment of its second fund, Summa Equity Fund II, which closed at its hard cap of SEK 6.5 billion.

Summa Equity was founded in 2016 and is a private equity firm focused on the Nordic lower mid-market segment and investments are made in companies that solve global challenges, within three investment themes: resource efficiency, changing demographics and tech enabled businesses. Summa Equity Fund II is backed by a strong investor base of top-tier endowments, foundations, pension funds, insurance firms and fund-of-funds, including a broad range of traditional and sustainability-oriented investors from the Nordics, Europe and North America. The fund is, as its predecessor fund, based on a Swedish AB-structure, where the investors will invest through either principal-linked participating debentures or preference shares.
