SEB Private Equity has acquired Smedbo
On 28 July 2021, SEB Private Equity acquired Smedbo Holding AB from the founding family.
Smedbo was founded by the Jemsten family in 1967 and is a market leading designer and producer of bathroom accessories. With operational entities in several jurisdictions, Smedbo’s primary focus is on the European and American market and it has 65 percent of sales outside of Sweden.
Following the transaction, the current management of Smedbo will continue to operate the business together with SEB Private Equity.
