Svea Solar successfully secures SEK 350 million portfolio debt facility

Svea Solar breaks new ground on the project financing market by reaching financial close on an innovative portfolio debt financing facility with Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken AB (publ) (“SEB”).

The financing provides Svea Solar with SEK 350 million to accelerate the development of solar parks across Sweden, including supporting several large-scale projects with a combined capacity of 80 MW, enough to power 16,000 Swedish households with clean, renewable energy. Of the key projects included in the financing with SEB, one is the innovative agrivoltaic park in Hova, located near Mariestad, where the solar power is combined with agriculture and food production.

Svea Solar is a leading actor in the solar energy sector, driving the shift to renewable energy in Europe and the transition towards a more sustainable future. Svea Solar has since 2014 finalized over 50,000 installations across several European markets, aiming to rid the planet of fossil fuels.

Svea Solar was advised by Mannheimer Swartling in the transaction.
