OX2’s 189 MW onshore wind farm Fageråsen in Sweden reaches financial close

DNB and UniCredit have provided a long-term project financing for OX2’s construction of an onshore wind farm in Malung-Sälen.

The wind farm will have an installed capacity of 189 MW and is expected, upon completion, to produce approximately 550 GWh of renewable energy per year for price area SE3. In connection with the wind farm, a 200 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) is also being planned to increase the power contribution. The total investment amounts to approximately SEK 3 billion. OX2 will retain ownership of the wind farm, with completion targeted for the first half of 2028.

DNB and UniCredit were advised by Mannheimer Swartling in the transaction. The firm’s team consisted primarily of Emil Görrel, Annelie Burström, Filip Andersson, Alice Lindgren, Alexander Schough, Emma Olnäs Fors, Jonas Larson, Erik Hellberg and Izabelle Österman.
