New legislation – work trial with continued sickness benefit

The Swedish Parliament has adopted the Government’s proposal to make it possible for those who are entitled to full sickness benefit to, in agreement with their employer, undertake a work trial with their employer while retaining their sickness benefit for a limited period.

The new regulations will be enforceable from 1 March 2026.
