HMS Networks acquires strategic assets from Molex
HMS Networks AB (publ) (“HMS”), a global provider of industrial information and communication technology, continues its expansion journey within the Industrial Network Technology (INT) division. HMS has entered into a binding agreement to acquire part of the Industrial Solutions Business Unit of Molex.
The acquisition consists of several strategic assets including hardware and software intellectual property, a product portfolio of network interface cards and software stacks, customer relationships primarily in the USA and Japan, as well as development teams based in Waterloo, Canada, and Le Thuit Anger, France. The transaction also includes the French company Woodhead Software & Electronics S.A.S.U.
Through this acquisition, HMS strengthens its offering within industrial networking and further accelerates its presence in key markets such as North America, Europe, and Japan. The acquired assets will complement HMS’ existing product portfolio and enhance the company’s capabilities within both hardware and software for industrial connectivity. The transaction is expected to be completed during the first half of 2025.
