Hemsö issues green hybrid bonds of EUR 550 million and completes tender offer to holders of existing notes

Hemsö Fastighets AB (publ) (“Hemsö”) has successfully issued green hybrid bonds in an aggregate amount of EUR 550 million. In connection therewith, the company has also completed a tender offer in respect of certain of its outstanding notes.

Hemsö is the leading owner of public properties in Sweden, with a focus on the sustainable ownership, management and development of properties within the segments elderly care, education, healthcare and the judicial system. The proceeds from the issuance will be used to strengthen Hemsö’s balance sheet and provide the company with financial flexibility to capitalise on further investment opportunities within social infrastructure.

In connection with the issuance, Hemsö also completed a tender offer to holders of outstanding notes, resulting in valid tenders for an aggregate amount of EUR 221 million.

Mannheimer Swartling advised Hemsö in the transaction with respect to Swedish law. The firm’s team consisted primarily of Gustav Glimblad, Emil Görrel, Alice Lindgren and Alexander Schough.
