AB SKF (publ.) launches The Patent Bay
SKF has launched a new platform where patents can be shared freely at no cost, a so-called patent pledge.
The platform is open to anyone who wants to accelerate innovation and enable technologies that can reduce environmental impact, either by sharing their own patents or by further developing technologies that are reflected in patents uploaded by others. The first patent to be freely shared on The Patent Bay is an advanced bearing steel developed for the aerospace industry, provided by SKF itself.
SKF was advised by Mannheimer Swartling. The firm’s team consisted mainly of Niklas Sjöblom, Sandra Torpheimer, Jockum Hildén, Tova Winsten and Filip Aminoff.
