Nordic lender syndicate participates in Bonava’s refinancing
On 2 July 2026, Bonava completed a refinancing of certain existing credit facilities and its senior secured green bonds.
As part of the refinancing, Bonava has, amongst other things, entered into agreements for new credit facilities totalling approximately EUR 200 million with Danske Bank, DNB, SEB, Svensk Exportkredit and Swedbank. The credit facilities have a term of two years, with an option to extend for up to a maximum of two further years.
Bonava is a leading residential developer in Europe with the aim of creating happy neighbourhoods for more people. With its 900 employees, Bonava develops housing in Germany, Sweden, Finland, Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania. To date, the company has built approximately 50,000 homes and, in 2025, had net turnover of approximately SEK 8 billion. Bonava’s shares and green bond are listed on Nasdaq Stockholm.
The lending syndicate was represented by Mannheimer Swartling in the transaction. The firm’s team consisted mainly of Daniel Khayyami, Alfred Petersson, Moa Mellgren, Jennifer Ågren Ylinenjarvi and Hope Lindehag.
