BAE Systems Bofors acquires Aston Harald Mekaniska Verkstad

Mannheimer Swartling represented the sellers when BAE Systems Bofors acquired Aston Harald Mekaniska Verkstad AB, a Kristinehamn-based company specialising in precision mechanics and advanced manufacturing of components for clients in the defence, space and commercial industries.

With its approximately 100 employees, Aston Harald has long been a key partner to BAE Systems Bofors and other leading players in the sector. The deal enhances the buyer’s manufacturing capacity and secures the component supply chain for critical defence systems including ARCHER, TRIDON Mk2, Combat Vehicle 9040 and the 40 Mk4 and 57 Mk3 naval guns.

The firm’s team consisted primarily of Per Åsbrink, Daniel Holmdahl, Victoria Nordenberg and Alice Johansson.
