Ulf Ohrling elected Chairman of the Board of the Swedish Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong
Mannheimer Swartling partner Ulf Ohrling has been elected Chairman of the Board of the Swedish Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong (SwedCham). SwedCham, founded in 1986, provides important information and networking opportunities to Swedish and Swedish-related companies in Hong Kong and offers a forum for exchanging experiences with companies already established in the region.
Ulf Ohrling has been residing in China since 2004. At SwedCham, he has chaired the South China Committee and helped to set up a South China Chapter, jointly managed by SwedCham and the Swedish Chamber of Commerce in China.
Ulf Ohrling works out of the firm’s offices in Hong Kong and Shanghai. He specialises in mergers and acquisitions, intellectual property and IT law and is an experienced advisor on company establishment in China and negotiations with Chinese parties. He is active in the Inter-Pacific Bar Association and has served as Chairman of its Cross-Border Investment Committee. Ulf Ohrling is ranked among the “Leading Lawyers in Asia” by the Asialaw Leading Lawyers Survey in the Mergers and Acquisitions and General Corporate Commercial practice areas. Ulf and his colleague Thomas Lagerqvist are co-authors of “Quotations from a China practice”, a book on Chinese business culture that was released in November 2011.
