Today marks the initiation of SOS Children's Villages first ever Swedish operations
During 2016, SOS Children's Villages began the establishment of its first national operations in Sweden. The youth centre is located in Hammarkullen, Gothenburg and the operations consist of a professional mentorship programme. The mentors will focus on providing support to unaccompanied children and adolescents in the area to help them to provide a base for an independent and self-sufficient life. Additionally the youth centre in Hammarkullen will also focus on work relating to the strengthening of families, especially aimed at the resident families of the unaccompanied children. SOS Children's Villages youth centre co-operates with local organisations, associations as well as the municipality.
Mannheimer Swartling has during 2016 provided all legal advisory services in connection to the establishment of the youth centre in Hammarkullen. Michael Karlsson, Chairman of SOS Children's Villages Sweden and Partner at Mannheimer Swartling will participate at the initiation.
The firm's collaboration with SOS Children's Villages is included in our strategic sustainability work within the frame of "Mannheimer Swartling in Society". Read more here.
