The Swedish state completes divestment of stake in Nordea raising SEK 21.6 billion
The Swedish government has today completed the divestment of its remaining stake in Nordea raising SEK 21.6 billion in the sale of approximately 284 million shares. The transaction was made through an accelerated book-building directed at Swedish and international institutional investors. The proceeds from the sale will be used to reduce the Swedish national debt.
The Swedish state’s total revenue from three sales of Nordea shares during the mandate period is SEK 60.1 billion. The Swedish government has been advised by Mannheimer Swartling throughout the three transactions. The firm’s team has included Eva Hägg, Emil Boström and Gustaf Hygrell.
