Swedbank appoints Capgemini to establish a new lending IT platform, enabling the complete and group wide digitalisation of the bank’s loan processes

Swedbank has entered into a framework agreement with IT services provider Capgemini, with the aim to establish a new IT platform for the group wide digitalisation of the bank’s loan processes. The platform will, amongst other things, enable the complete digitalisation of the bank’s lending retail products, further improve the bank’s corporate lending process, and enable an even more efficient handling of life cycle issues within Swedbank’s IT environment.

The Swedbank Group serves a total of around 8 million private customers and 550,000 corporate customers with approximately 300 branches in Sweden and more than 180 branches in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. In addition, the group serves and cooperates with more than fifty independent savings banks operating across Sweden. The Swedbank Group also has operations in Copenhagen, Helsinki, Kaliningrad, Luxembourg, Marbella, Moscow, New York, Oslo, Shanghai, St. Petersburg and Tokyo.
