Klarna raises USD 1 billion in equity financing
Klarna has raised an aggregate amount of USD 1 billion in an equity capital financing from a combination of new investors and existing shareholders at a pre-money valuation of USD 30 billion, making Klarna the highest-valued private fintech company in Europe.
The funds contributed in the capital raise will be used to support further growth and expansion, but 1% of the capital raised will be dedicated to a newly created initiative that focuses on key sustainability challenges around the world.
