Hemsö acquires its first assisted living property in Sweden
Hemsö has acquired a sheltered housing in central Motala, Sweden, from Scandinavian Property Development and KIAB Fastigheter AB, together with Peab. The value of the real property under construction will amount to SEK 97 million after completion.
The building will include assisted living/personal care apartments and an administrative building designed for home care. The municipality of Motala is the tenant and has signed a 25-year lease. Construction is expected to be completed in February 2017.
Hemsö is Sweden’s leading private owner of properties for community services. Hemsö owns more than 300 community buildings in Sweden, Finland and Germany. Hemsö is 85 per cent owned by the Third Swedish National Pension Fund and 15 per cent owned by AB Sagax.
