Coca-Cola Enterprises plans to acquire bottling operations in Sweden and Norway
Mannheimer Swartling has advised Coca-Cola Enterprises (“CCE”) in relation to its planned USD 820,000,000 acquisition of The Coca-Cola Company’s (“KO”) Swedish and Norwegian bottling business.
Both CCE and KO are listed on the NYSE. The acquisition is part of a restructuring of CCE and KO, through which CCE divests its North American bottling business to KO and simultaneously acquires KO’s Swedish and Norwegian bottling business. In connection with the restructuring, KO will divest its minority stake of the shares in CCE, which will become a wholly-independent company from KO. The transaction is subject to the signing of definitive agreements and other conditions.
Mannheimer Swartling’s team included Adam Green, Martin Ericsson, Johan Bergman and Emilia Hempel (M&A), Martin Nilsson and Jessica Kjellsson (Corporate Tax), Johan Carle (EU and Competition), Girion Blomdahl (Real Estate and Environment), and Ola Axelsson (Employment and Pensions).
