Akelius divests residential property portfolio to Aberdeen Asset Management
The Swedish property group Akelius has agreed to divest a portfolio of residential properties in southern Sweden’s Öresund region to Aberdeen Residential Sweden AB. The portfolio comprises 15 properties consisting of approximately 800 apartments and circa 6,600 square meters of retail space.
Aberdeen Residential Sweden AB is a subsidiary of Aberdeen Asset Management, a global investment management group that has been listed on the London Stock Exchange since 1991.
Akelius Fastigheter AB is part of the Akelius group, a privately owned property company with origins in Sweden.
Akelius was advised by Mannheimer Swartling in the transaction. The firm’s team included Magnus Josefsson, Niklas Svantesson and Arman Azad.
