In this role, you will belong to one or more practice groups, supporting partners and lawyers in their day-to-day. You will often be independently responsible for structuring and planning your own work. Your work will include information research, document management, booking and planning meetings, bid management and expense accounting.
As a junior assistant, you will probably join us straight from secondary school and stay at the firm for one or two years. Most people trying to choose a career want to test the water before continuing their studies. Quite a few of our junior assistants intend to become lawyers themselves, and see this as an opportunity to gain an insight into the legal business.
Apart from successfully completing upper secondary school (not necessarily on a programme involving legal studies), we do not require you to have any prior knowledge to work as a junior assistant with us. You will be given all the training you need for your day-to-day work at Mannheimer Swartling, including training on the basics of the Microsoft Office package. You will also be briefed on our internal templates, systems and external databases. Personality traits that we look for are a desire take on responsibilities of your own, and that you are meticulous and keen on personal development.
