TalkRemit AB is authorised to issue electronic money

On 23 July 2021, TalkRemit AB was authorised by the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority under the Swedish Electronic Money Act to issue electronic money and to provide a number of payment services pursuant to the Swedish Payment Services Act.

TalkRemit AB is part of a group which, since 2018, is licensed to issue electronic money and provide payment services in the UK. As a consequence of the UK’s withdrawal from the EU, TalkRemit AB applied for authorisation in Sweden in order to be able to continue providing services to its customer base in Sweden. TalkRemit AB offers, among other things, services that enable users to send funds to payees in other countries.
