Rikshem divests half of Folkhem Trä to Veidekke Bostad

Veidekke Bostad becomes partner in Folkhem Trä when Rikshem sells half of the wholly owned company. Rikshem and Veidekke Bostad already have a well-established cooperation regarding the development of condominiums. The collaboration is now further strengthened with expanded focus on wooden houses. Folkhem Trä will continue its work on developing wooden houses and Folkhem Produktion will continue to focus on concept development and landmark acquisition.

Folkhem Trä focuses on housing construction in the Stockholm region. The company develops residential buildings in wood, which has environmental benefits.

Rikshem is one of Sweden’s largest private real property companies and is owned by Fourth Swedish National Pension Fund och AMF. Veidekke is a construction and housing development company operating in Scandinavia.

Rikshem was represented by Mannheimer Swartling in the transaction.
