GIG acquires Kattegatt Offshore Wind Farm

Green Investment Group (GIG) (part of the Macquarie group) has acquired the projects rights for the Kattegatt Offshore Wind Farm from Agrivind AB. Situated off the coast of the Falkenberg municipality, Sweden, the development stage project is anticipated to have an installed capacity of up to 260 MW. Once operational, it will produce enough electricity to power the equivalent of an estimated 95,000 homes.

GIG is a leading renewable energy developer with a mission to accelerate the green transition. With a global offshore wind development pipeline of c. 14 GW, it is one of the world’s largest offshore wind developers. Kattegatt Offshore is the latest addition to GIG’s c. 14 GW global offshore wind development portfolio.
