Eneo builds Sweden’s largest solar park

Eneo and Swedbank have signed an agreement to build a solar park. The park, which will be located outside Linköping, will be Sweden’s largest and with a potential to produce electricity for 2,300 villas.

In the energy purchase agreement, financing, location and size have been specified. The land area just north of Linköping will be prepared shortly. The first solar panels will be installed in March 2020 and by June 2020 the park will be ready to start producing solar energy.

Eneo owns the park and will be responsible for establishment and maintenance and Infranode, who specializes in infrastructure investments in the Nordic region, will finance the solar park. The land area of the park is approximately 13 hectares and is owned by Tekniska verken.

Eneo was advised by Mannheimer Swartling in the transaction.
