Castellum enters into agreements regarding an exchange transaction with Fastighetsaktiebolaget Lilium

Castellum has entered into agreements regarding an exchange transaction with Fastighetsaktiebolaget Lilium. Closing will take place on March 1, 2019.

The transaction comprises the acquisition of six properties in Linköping, and the sales of twenty properties in Sundsvall. Castellum views the acquisition as an exceptional opportunity to grow and develop their product offers as well as a chance to exploit the possibility of building rights that the transaction provides.

The six properties in Linköping comprise 67 000 sq.m. of centrally located office space. Acquisition price amounted to SEK 1 638 million (including costs and assessed deferred taxes). Sales price for the Sundsvall properties, which comprise 157 400 sq.m. of office space, amounted to SEK 3 321 million (after deduction for costs and assessed deferred taxes).

All employees in each respective area will retain their current employment and will report to the new owners. Castellum has binding union agreements and the company is taking part in relevant dialogues.

Castellum is one of the largest listed real estate companies in Sweden. Property values amount to SEK 87.5 billion and holdings comprise office, warehousing/logistics and public sector properties, covering a total leasable area of 4.4 million square metres.
