Capio completes add on acquisitions
Capio has acquired IM Röntgendiagnostik and Norrlandskliniken.
The acquisition of IM Röntgendiagnostik reinforces Capio Movement’s offering as a full-service provider of computer tomography, ultra sound, traditional X-ray and modern MRI in the local area, as well as the only private caregiver in Halland to offer radiology diagnostics. Capio Movement is a part of Capio Ortophedics and is one of Sweden’s leading orthopedic specialized clinics with offerings in orthopaedics, rheumatology and radiology.
Capio Närsjukvård has acquired all shares in Norrlandskliniken i Umeå, and its subsidiaries. Norrlandskliniken is an operator of a health care centre and a provider of occupational health services and specialized care. The acquisition of Norrlandskliniken strengthens Capio’s current presence and healthcare offering in northern Sweden. Following the acquisition, Capio will have two primary care units in Umeå with a total of 30,000 registered patients. In total the Capio local health care business area will provide health care services in more than 100 locations in twelve different country councils and regions in Sweden. Combined these centres have over 900,000 registered patients.
