Bite and Tele2 establish a network sharing joint venture
The Baltic telecoms operator Bite and the Swedish telecoms operator Tele2 have signed an agreement to establish a network sharing joint venture in Latvia and Lithuania. The partnership includes sharing of infrastructure in existing networks, sharing of spectrum licences and roll-out of future 5G networks. Through the partnership, the parties look to increase capacity and coverage for Latvian and Lithuanian consumers at the same time reducing operational costs and energy consumption. The goal is to optimise existing networks and to build out 5G infrastructure in Latvia and Lithuania faster, at a lower cost, and with better coverage.
Bite was represented by Mannheimer Swartling in the process.
