Loan agreements were signed on 21 September 2010 between Latvia and Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Norway and Sweden respectively, Under the agreements the Nordic lenders have agreed to provide Latvia with total credits of EUR 1.9 billion. The loan agreements form a part of the EUR 7.5 billion financial assistance package approved in the end of 2008 complemented with policy measures are aimed at stabilisation of Latvia’s economy and financial market.
