Mannheimer Swartling has advised Greif International Holding B.V., a subsidiary of Greif, Inc., in connection with its acquisition of privately held Hannells Industrier AB, Scandinavia’s leading manufacturer of industrial packaging.
Greif, Inc., (NYSE: GEF, GEF.B) is the world leader in industrial packaging products and services. Hannells has facilities in Sweden, Denmark and Norway manufacturing plastic drums, jerricans and pails; steel drums; and intermediate bulk containers for customers primarily in the chemical, petrochemical and paint industries. In 2008, Hannells Industrier had a turnover of approximately SEK 840 million and 230 employees.
