Transitio signs framework agreements with CAF, Bombardier and Stadler for subsequent orders of rail vehicles
AB Transitio has signed framework agreements with Construcciones Y Auxiliar De Ferrocarriles (CAF), Bombardier Transportation Sweden AB (Bombardier) and Stadler Bussnang AG (Stadler) under which CAF, Bombardier and Stadler are pre-selected as suppliers of regional trains to AB Transitio’s owners to cover the future demand for railway vehicles for regional traffic in Sweden for the duration of the framework agreement (maximum seven years).
AB Transitio is owned by the Swedish county councils/regions and procures, finances and manages railway vehicles on behalf of the Swedish regional public transport authorities.
CAF is a leading manufacturer of equipment and components for railway systems and employs over 7,000 people in 25 different countries. The company’s share is listed on the Madrid Stock Exchange. Bombardier, a leading manufacturer of rolling stock, has over 2,500 employees in Sweden and over 70,000 employees worldwide. The parent company of the Bombardier Group, Bombardier Inc., is domiciled in Montréal, Canada, and is listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange. Stadler, a family-owned manufacturer of rail vehicles, has its headquarters in the Bussnang, Switzerland, and has 5,000 employees.
